Custom Cutting Boards
Yellowdog Woodcraft started as a hobby and love for beautiful, artistic wood projects. I'm a retired engineer that never lost my desire to create and build quality wood projects. After building custom furniture for years, I've redirected my effort to CNC design, specializing in carvings, signs and wood inlays.
All of the cutting boards are made with select hardwoods, cut and re-glued into end grain "butcher blocks" using premium waterproof glue. Both the base and the inlays are end grain which is ideal for cutting boards. Boards are typically ~2 inches thick by 12x18 inches. Finished with food safe oils, they will last a lifetime if cared for. Typical finches are tung oil which is a 100% food safe and (in my opinion) provides a more durable finish than other non-drying oils such as food grade mineral oil.

We don't carry an inventory, every piece is hand made to your specifications. Typically, it takes one to two weeks to complete once scheduled.
